End of Life Care
It is always difficult when your pet's health is deteriorating and can be distressing for them and you. We are here to help you do all you can to maintain a comfortable, happy life for your pet for as long as possible. This is called palliative care and aims to help maintain a comfortable, stress-free and pain-free quality of life. There is often a lot that can be done to help improve a pet's quality of life to enable them to enjoy their time with you for longer.
Sadly though, sometimes a good enough quality of life is no longer possible, even with the best of intentions. Our role is to help you navigate this difficult time and enable you to find the best options for you and your pet.
We can work with you to improve your pet's life where possible or help you reluctantly navigate a fond farewell when the time comes. This can be done in the practice but we also offer home visits so owners can say goodbye to their pet in their own home. We understand how important this can be and will make time for it wherever possible.
If you would like a home visit for help with decisions around end-of-life care after we are closed, other local services may be able to help:
